Paul (Wayne) O’Bryon Passes Away

staff-photo-waynePaul W. O’Bryon- “Wayne”, 72, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on March 21, 2013 while in Las Vegas, NV with his sons to accept a national award on behalf of the company he was so very proud of.

Wayne was born in Washington County, PA on November 24, 1940.  Wayne, a well-known person in the South Florida HVAC community, graduated from South Broward High School in 1957 and went directly on to serve a four year apprenticeship with the Local 223 of The Sheet Metal Union in Miami becoming a Journeyman.  He opened his first Air Conditioning business in 1970 and served successfully as owner/operator until 1975. Wayne then went on to become Vice President and General Manager for three large Air Conditioning Contractors located in South Florida from 1975 to 1991. In March of 1991, he formed Preferred Air Conditioning & Mechanical, LLC, a company that he built and ran with his sons on the principle of family and quality workmanship. He was so proud of the company and all of its achievements throughout the years.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 32 years, Maggie O’Bryon. His children Donald O’Bryon (Donna), Beau O’Bryon (Sandy), Roxanne Carter and Paula Hughes (Dan).  Grandchildren Tracie Grumet (Jay), Tristan O’Bryon, Angela O’Bryon, Ginney O’Bryon, Sean O’Bryon, David Cox, Stephanie Carter, Daniel Carter and great grandson Ostin Patton. Brothers Buck O’Bryon and James O’Bryon and sister Peggy Forget. Wayne is also survived by nephew David O’Bryon of Anew Air Conditioning in Naples, FL among many other nieces and nephews along with numerous loyal employees and several good friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 4, 2013, at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach.  Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday April 3, 2013, at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, FL.  Burial will follow the funeral at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL
